If you’re reading this, you’re probably a driven and passionate person who seeks to make a difference in the lives of needy children. We bet you’re committed to helping the poor, the abandoned, and the orphan. You constantly seek to grow, learn, and discover new and better ways to serve others. You want your existence to leave in imprint on the world…for the benefit of others. Sound about right?

Equip Yourself to Fulfill Your Passions

But maybe something keeps stopping you.

Does This Sound Like You?

Be honest:

  • Do you feel like you’re way too inexperienced?
  • Are you overwhelmed with the ginormous need and the miniscule resources available to help?
  • Do you consider yourself unqualified to take on the call and burden placed on your heart?

If so, you’re not alone. Many of us have felt this way too.

We Know How You Feel

We know what it feels like to be way in over your head—to have your dreams and desires reach far beyond your ability to achieve them.

Orphan Care Movement is a service of Austin Bible Institute – the only institute of higher education in the world (that we know of) that offers entire programs of study geared towards Ministry to Orphans and Vulnerable Children. To be the first of this kind, to pioneer on this exciting and yet daunting adventure…we’ll let’s just say that our calling is huge too. Of course, we offer other programs of study as well, including Biblical and Theological, General Christian Ministry, Global Missions, and Pastoral Studies – basically we are passionate about equipping our students for ministry. And although this is a huge task, we have realized that instead of shrinking back in fear and doubt, the answer is to equip yourself as best as possible so that when the time comes you’ll serve with excellence.

Our Goal in Writing This Blog

Orphan Care Movement chronicles and provides resources to support a huge revival happening all over the world right now. There is a rising interest in the plight of the poor. People, both young and old, are getting up and doing something to help the poor. And it’s not only with orphans. It’s also with homeless people, the lost, the broken, and other underprivileged people.

This website, Orphan Care Movement, exists to capture this amazing story that is happening all over the world and share it with all of us so that we can all be strengthened and encouraged to do more to help our less privileged brothers and sisters.
